Living in Mexico - Cultural Imperialism

In my never-ending quest to discover just what to call American gringos who move to Mexico and create Gringolandias (expats, fakepats, colonists?), I offer yet another confusing yet interesting dilemma. See what you think.

New Middle Aged Group Benefits Committee

Isn't it about time we got some respect?

Mystery - Murder by Media

The fact of the matter is that Princess Diana is dead because of the media. She is not the only one whose life has been taken or destroyed in other ways by the media. Of course, the media didn't want the Princess to be dead. But they were hungry for what she had-her personal life-and they paid big money to the paparazzi for photos of Diane, especially if she was making love on the beach. Right now we are watching the destruction of Paris Hilton, a 26-year-old raised in a luxury hotel with her sister in New York City. Paris is immature, perhaps a spoiled brat, and she is being destroyed by the media.

The Spirituality of Money

You need to stay in this place of gratitude and wonder, where you will activate the Law of Attraction because you are coming from this place of gratitude 24/7. It then becomes part of who you are and thereby you attract circumstances that will resonate this great Spirituality of Money and wealth because this is what you are.

Does The Press Pick Presidents?

The press does choose presidents because of their power in providing publicity and the oxygen of exposure which ensures its favourites are at the forefront.

How Rich Are You?

Ever wonder how you can get a six dollar t-shirt. Is the middle class disappearing? Why is there a third world? How much money do you need in order to be rich?

Thank you Cindy Sheehan for a Courageous Battle Fought

It's a pity that Cindy Sheehan has given up her fight against the war in Iraq. She announced this at the end of May, 2007. She officially left the Democratic Party after the Democratic controlled congress passed a bill authorising the continued funding of the war in Iraq. This was after some feeble attempt at opposition.

Are Men Really Necessary?

We hear this question being asked sometimes but, regardless of how independent women become, men will be a necessary part of that equation.

Asafa Powell - The World's Greatest and Humblest Sprint Champion That Ever Lived

A tribute to the greatest Jamaican sprinter who became the first man to tie his own world record in the same season. A look at the humblest superstar even to grace the track and field scene.

Christophobes - The New American Bullies

Phobias are fears. The list of phobias in American culture is growing by leaps and bounds. Christophobia, the new kid on the block, rates a look see because it is now fostering more vituperation than anyone might have ever expected, but why?

Is Affirmative Action Fair?

There has been a fierce debate for a while about the fairness of affirmative action but there is no argument to the millions whose lives it has changed for the better amid the pervasive racism in America.

The Human Element, Does It Always Have To Be Like This?

A view, a review, a statement, but my opinion. I wish you would read, then remark, and let me know.

A Religion In Need Of Redemption

Generally, religion figures human beings need redemption. Now, we note, at least one religion is in dire need of redemption - Islam. The explosive evidence speaks for itself - unfortunately, louder than any other voice in Islam. But can enough Muslims be convinced that their religion needs salvation? If a humor magazine can't do it, who can? Here's a short course, called Good Religion 101. Is a religion supposed to be an enhancement of life or a liability against it? What is its merit to the living when it becomes a liability against life? For that matter, what is its merit to the ultimate source of life - in this context, taken to be Allah, the one true pal of us all? To be meritorious, a religion must be primarily about the sanctity of life, not the sanctity of death. The more it subordinates life, which is what we have in our care, the more it has gone wrong.
