Wind Energy or Ocean Wave Energy; You Decide
What makes sense wind energy offshore or ocean wave energy off the coast? Many would say that wind generators make the most sense, but environmentalists say that these turbine blades kill birds. So ocean wave energy generation makes more sense then right?

Uranium Recovery and Downblending Is Beating Swords into Plowshares
Uranium recovery and uranium downblending have become crucial to the nuclear renaissance. To support nuclear non-proliferation and the growing demand for uranium, governments have begun releasing supplies of highly enriched weapons-grade uranium. This material is called high-enriched uranium (HEU), and is being downblended for use in commercial nuclear reactors in a beating-swords-to-plowshares operation.

Nuclear Energy and the Advanced Fuel Cycle Initiative (AFCI)
An advanced nuclear fuel cycle would have a number of benefits. It will reduce the volume of existing spent fuel. Currently, spent fuel is being stored in pools at various reactors sites around the U.S. It would also increase the capacity of the storage facility by reducing the amount decay heat generated by the spent fuel. It is predicted that toxic long-lived radioactive components can be destroyed through burning in a nuclear reactor in a process called transmutation.

The Advantages of Wind Energy
Wind power is one the oldest and most basic types of energy. It's been used since the first windmills were build in Europe hundreds of years ago. And now as the developed world is searching for alternative to fossil fuels the technologies to convert wind energy into usable forms of electricity is getting more attention.

Micro Wind Turbines For Cities
When discussions of renewable energy are undertaken, the focus is often on large scale projects. In truth, the answer may be platforms developed for a more local application.

The Solar Energy Breakthrough Everyone Missed
When it comes to breaking our oil addiction, solar energy is often sited as a perfect renewable energy platform. There are problems with it from a cost perspective, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh Those High Energy Prices
In 2003 I wrote an article about high gas prices in North America. Here we are on the cusp of 2007 and the price at the pump is vastly higher. This is not a surprising turn of events when we look at all the reasons for the high gas prices we are paying at the pump and on our heating bills.

Thoughts On Nuclear Power as a Source of Emission Free Energy
For decades, the terms nuclear power have sent feelings of fear in those hearing them. We have all been influenced by the movies and reports on the devastating impact that nuclear power can have on our Nation. However, nuclear power can also be a positive thing for our Nation, offering as an alternate source of emission free energy. Used properly, nuclear reactions can be used to generate energy in the forms of heat and electricity.

Free Energy
An experiment performed in 1889 designed to detect the aether, failed. It was known as the Michelson Morley experiment and since that time till Einstein, the aether became mythical.
We are becoming aware that rockets, though romantic, will never get us to the stars. We must rethink our propulsive force and tap into the abundant energy that exists everywhere in the universe.

Battling Your Utility Bill
As we head into the cold winter months, our energy bills increase dramatically. Fortunately, there are a number of relatively easy steps you can take to cut down on those bills.
