The Family Silver is Sold Again
Westinghouse, the nuclear-engineering company owned by the British Government has just been sold to Japanese company Toshiba for a price close to 2.8 billion pounds – almost twice the original estimate.
One may question the wisdom of the government' decision to sell given the current energy review which is likely to support the building of new nuclear plant as a means to stem the growing dependency on foreign gas.

Lack of demand has created extensive unemployment and discouraging weaving income that from 45-50 looms now has only 5-6 looms. Most of the technical master weavers have left to urban cities in search of jobs. The weavers who left the villages to urban cities due to lack of other rural employment opportunities would mess up cities. Reaching urban cities only adds up urban poverty because they do not get the suitable jobs there too.
