Nearly a Week of 112-115 Degree Heat Hampers California
California saw its worst heat wave in 10-years killing some 126-130 people. The heat wave produced record temperatures of 112-115 degrees for nearly a week straight. Most of the deaths occurred with elderly folks and some are wondering if there may have been a way to save more of these people in the next heat wave? Is a new policy needed for heat waves to protect people and elderly?

Late Season Hurricanes Have a Habit of Hugging Eastern Seaboard
It is widely known that late season hurricanes in the Atlantic often will parallel the coastline of the Eastern Seaboard and some of these hurricanes can be the worst. Many of these hurricanes in fact have been known to turn around and come back again or cross the state of Florida from the eastern seaboard side to the Gulf of Mexico.
