Ways To Make A Website Affordable For Small Business
Let’s face it, not everybody needs or can afford a $20,000 website. Most small businesses can benefit from a simple informational site that presents vital information without having to pay tens of thousands of dollars.Considerations when planning your website:Use a content editor How will you update your content? Many businesses that employ the services of a web designer/developer to build their websites can fall into the trap of having to pay hundreds of dollars each time they require a small change to their site. One way to eliminate these ongoing costs is to find a web developer that can offer you a simple content editor that allows you to make the changes yourself. This is the most affordable way to manage your own content.Make sure you differentiate between a content management system and a content editor. The main difference is that a dedicated CMS is integrated with a database and probably has a lot of features that you don’t need.A simple content editor will allow you to edit existing content on your site in a WYSIWYG format. You can
e sure you have 20 or so pages of decent unique content on your site. The content should obviously be related to your business, contain all your targeted keywords/phrases and be something of value to any visitor that lands. This will not only provide an interesting read for any human visitors but will also give plenty of ‘meat’ for the search engine spiders to chew on, giving your site more presence across all your keywords/phrases to boot.

Try to add fresh unique content regularly, do not copy other peoples work because if you are doing it then you can be sure 100 others are also doing the same. Unique content means tha

    Using Testimonials With Affiliate Marketing
Even if your online business is affiliate marketing, i.e. you don't offer your own products, testimonials can give your bottom line a significant boost. Here's how.A common way to promote affiliate programs is through the use of a review website, where several products are compared to each other. This can be an effective way to help consumers go the last step and decide between various options. The greatest obstacle you face in converting visitors to sales is how trustworthy and authoritative your site appears to be.Is your contact information readily available? Are you offering your visitors some kind of bonus or extra for purchasing through your site? Are you capturing their name and email address before they leave? If so, you will have ample opportunity to interact with them. Even ONE testimonial about how your recommendation made the buying process easier will go a long way to improving trust in your site. That ONE testimonial will set you apart- because no one else is doing it!If you're promoting products more based on your own experience, then you have the pe
All webmasters realise that the lifeblood of their website is traffic, without traffic a website is simply a series of codes on a server. However, traffic brings a website to life and the importance of this cannot be under estimated. Getting traffic is big business and a complex process but what I want to do is provide you with a foundation to use when developing your site so that all your work becomes focused on developing your websites traffic.

The key thing to remember is that bringing in traffic is not easy it takes hard work and determination and a commitment to maintain this emphasis as the site grows, my intention is to discuss the ten key processes that you should be using as a minimum in order to build the traffic to your website.

    1. Keyword research.

This is the vital first step for any website, you need to find out what keywords and key phrases are best suited to developing the most traffic to your website, how can you do this?

    A. Use a keyword research tool.

    B. What are your competitors using as keywords, look at their meta tags and look how they link to there website (ie. what anchor text do they use)

    C. Is there a niche phrase within the keywords that can be exploited and thus remove some of the competition?

    2. Choose your domain name.

This is a vital stage because your domain name should reflect your business because it will become part of your brand, if you’re ideal name is taken then add another word to it so that you can still keep your brand identity. Try to include your main keyword in the domain name, for example, if you are selling widgets and your main keyword/phrase is red widgets then you have the choice between widgets.com or redwidgets.com (if widgets.com is taken).

    3. Get content uploaded immediately.

As soon as you have decided your keywords and registered your domain name then write a simple article related to your business, this article should be informative and also detail what your business will be delivering and the proposed go live date. Upload this and make sure that the search engines know of its existence by either submitting it to them or linking to it from another site that is crawled regularly. This process will help you to beat the Sandbox and then when you are fully ready it will be much easier to get the search engine traffic you need.

    4. Always put some good content pages up.

Whether you are going to be selling products online or providing an information site, ALWAYS make sure you have 20 or so pages of decent unique content on your site.

The habits are easy to develop and we can all use reminders. The fastest way to fall into this trap is to think of YOU. It is that simple, just become self-centered and care only about your problems.Three easy stepsLets review three simple ways we can become the obnoxious salesperson who stops in or calls every once in a while. A Positive Approach to Pay Per Click Advertising
In a virtual marketplace, search engine plays an imperative role in bringing success to online business since most of the searches for products and services are done through search engines. Therefore, we can easily make out how important it is to get a secure position in a search engine result listing page if one has to excel in online business.Just making an appealing and content saturated website using soothing colors never seems profitable. Your site must undergo search engine optimization (SEO) process with the help of search engine optimizers to make it compatible enough to appear in an influential position in a search engine result page (SERP).However, SEO is not a process of eating a ripe fruit but it involves process of showing a seed, watering the germinated plant constantly, letting it flower that converts to fruit and ultimately eating a ripe fruit. Hence for any SEO strategies to show some result, it may take time varying from 2 or 3 months to a year or more. But, the people who are impatient to go ahead with SEO process and want instant online visibility and Web traf

    RSS: This Publisher's Choice
RSS is the interactive communication tool being popularized by bloggers. It is also the newest method for ezine publishers to deliver their content to the web.RSS puts control back where it belongs. Publishers have control over their content, and subscribers have control over what they read. This system requires that subscribers manually subscribe to the feeds they choose to read. One simply cannot just enter an email address and hit a subscribe button, attached to an autoresponder.RSS feeds require an aggregator to read them, similarly to the way a browser reads HTML on a web page. As a result of this necessity, absolutely no one can be subscribed to a feed without consent. This makes the reader 100% responsible for the acceptance of the content to which they have subscribed. The receipt of feed content can never be unsolicited, nor can it be redundant. One cannot have more than one active subscription to a particular feed.Rather than having to open an over-flowing mailbox, to find the information you are looking for, RSS acts as a special delivery agent, placing th
e sure you have 20 or so pages of decent unique content on your site.

Unique content means that more people will take the time to read it and link back to it.

    5. Optimise your pages.

Your keywords/phrase should be in the title of your page, also set within a "H1" tag and the content must be relevant to it. Use bold within your page, remember most internet users scan pages initially and having bolded text (ideally keyword/phrases) draws their attention and locks them into reading the full page.

    6. Always include a sitemap.

This has two uses, anyone landing on it can see the complete contents of your site and hopefully explore but the main one is that it provides a central hub from which the search engine spiders can hit all your pages. Always link to the site map from the homepage and always keep it up to date whenever you add a page as it is guaranteed to help with the indexing and ranking of your pages in the search engines.

    7. Develop a link building strategy.

Back links are the key to any website in the battle for traffic so you must have a process in place, there are so many programs and sites that can be used to develop this but links can be gained using one of the easiest and free techniques on the internet. If you listened to point 4 then this technique should work well for you:

Analyse who is linking to your competition, type the following into Google/Yahoo etc..

    link:www.competitorsdomain.com

This will pull up all the sites that the search engines have as linking to your competitors, visit them and find the appropiate contact details and then send a polite email enquiring about whether the would also like to link to your site as it will give their site members benefits etc.

Try to develop as natural a linking strategy as possible, Google tracks nearly everything when it comes to links as it wants to maintain the integrity of its database so the more natural a link looks the better. By natural I mean get links to different pages of your web site don’t just have them all pointing to your homepage, in other words make sure you are deep linking to pages within your site.

    8. Use the power of articles.

Become an expert on your subject and write about it frequently, once you have written your article then submit it to as many article directories as you can. Every article you submit has a link back to your site, so whenever anyone puts the article on their site you gain another back link and there are lots of people that visit these article sites to read on their chosen subject and if they see your link and like
