What Life Is Really Like As A Limousine Owner And Chauffeur
Here’s a little insight into what life is like being a limo owner and chauffeur, it isn’t as glamorous as you might expect! At 8.30a.m. you have to start the day, take a nice warm shower and have a shave (it’s considered unprofessional to turn up at a fancy restaurant smelling of last nights dinner!)Then, we have the jobs that no-one wants to do, ever; Pressing a suit, and choosing a tie! Arrive at unit (dressed in very stylish overalls of course! Have to change into my posh suit later)Start the limo, (hoping to have no problems!) back out of the unit first thing walk round the car making sure that everything is pristine and functioning as it should; check the tires, the lights, the oil, the water, the list seems to go on forever (Especially on a Monday morning) !Rinse off the car, wash it, dry it of

    Lessons from a Sponge
As most of you know, cartoon character SpongeBob SquarePants is happily employed at the Krusty Krab - a quick serve seen by millions of kids every day on Nickelodeon. Quite a few funny restaurant experiences seem to happen to the SpongeBob crew - they even made a movie about them.Having an 8- and 10-year old, I recently saw the SpongeBob SquarePants movie and there was actually a valuable restaurant lesson to be learned (that somehow stayed with me after 90 minutes of torture). The second Krusty Krab restaurant was getting ready to open and SpongeBob thought he was going to be the manager, yet he was passed over for a “more mature” candidate. He was crushed. How many times have we done that to our employees? The lesson to take away is this: Think about training from the inside before recruiting from the o
    Be you-nique.

Everyday in the mail, there are tons of junk that I get and throw away. But every now and then, a piece comes in that is so unique I am compelled to open it. Why? Because it is unique!

Now the real question… How do you get your message across? Your uniqueness? The uniqueness of your company? Your products? And most importantly YOU?

Lets talk about each of these areas individually:

The uniqueness of your company - Now at this point, you’re saying to yourself “what uniqueness?” That is the whole point – you might have never even thought about it! Not for one minute! It is essential that every sales professional think through the uniqueness of their company.

Let’s say, for example, that you work for a printing company. Wow - that is really unique. There aren’t many of those around. But bear with me - if you do work for a printing company, there are some unique qualities that may make a compelling story to tell your potential clients. Here are a few examples, but you are the one who has to look at your unique qualities and describe them effectively:

Location - “We are the only printing company on Maple Street - so we can give you faster service.”

Professionally Written Resume: Your Future Depends on It
The only information a potential employer usually has about you as a job candidate is the information presented on a resume and in the cover letter. It is also the only information that a hiring manager may have about the other five hundred candidates. Given that there are often large numbers of candidates applying for one position, you need a resume that will stand out.Using a Professional Resume WriterA professional resume writer is familiar with the job application process, and knows how to present your information in the best possible way. A professionally written resume can definitely help your resume stand apart from the crowd.Writing a resume is a difficult and daunting task for many people, including those who have been in the workforce a number of years. How to Write a Great English Resume
The idea of an English Resume is to sell yourself: An English Resume is seen as an opportunity to sell yourself and should emphasise your skills, experiences and achievements. You should include successes and wherever possible include facts and figures to support your claims. Do NOT include information that is negative.Spelling and Grammar Check: Correct spelling and grammar are of absolute importance in an English Resume. Employers will NOT tolerate any mistakes. It is very important that a native English speaker checks your Resume before you send it to an English-speaking employer. CVwriting.net can provide a full spelling and grammar check and suggest any changes to the content of your Resume in line with what employers expect.Do not include a photo: Most English employers do NOT like to see a photo on the R

The Business Plan And The Presentation
There is a temptation for many entrepreneurs to attempt to duplicate their Business Plan in a Slide Presentation. This may happen understandably, because of an enthusiasm and zeal to share a concept or an idea; there is also a chance to lose your audience. Both the Business Plan and Presentation may work together better if the Presentation is a highlight of the main document. On many occasions I have been asked to join a meeting or review a Business Plan and/or a Powerpoint Presentation and have received a 40-slide Presentation. Any amount of slides over 12 (Guy Kawasaki, author of The Art Of The Start, recommends 10 ONLY) is overwhelming and much too long for an audience. Once I attended a meeting and one of the investors said to my client after the sixth slide, "Could we just skip the slideshow and discuss your busin

Combined services – “Do you currently work with a graphic arts company to do design? Then we do the printing and someone else mails it? Well we can design, print, warehouse and mail it all in one location and on one invoice.”

Referrals - “Our company is part of a network of other business owners and we refer business to our customers all the time. In fact, last week an attorney who we do printing for landed a celebrity singer as a client – because we do all the printing for his former record company.”
