How to Find a Profitable Australian Business Opportunity
All large business enterprises must have started with a simple business opportunity. Starting a business in Australia is almost the same as starting a business anywhere else – you’ve got to comply with government rules and invest time, effort, and money. Business opportunities are quite abundant in the continent – you can even choose to buy an established business, start a business from scratch, or even enlist in a business endeavor sponsored by a big company.p>

The main difference here is the use of the term “like a”.

Brand Yourself to Enhance Your Image in Networking Circles
You will meet many people while you network. It can be challenging not only for you to remember others but for others to remember you. You need to make yourself stand out in a positive way. You may get lost in the crowd if you don’t take this seriously.Be creative and try several ideas. Some will work better than others. Make sure you put in the appropriate amount of time to work on your image. You want to come across as a professional who cares about the
I challenge you to consider using a metaphor or simile the next time you plan your health presentation. But what exactly is a metaphor?

metaphor -- n. figurative use of words in which a word or phrase is used to mean something other than what it usually means. For a presenter who scripts out his or her presentation, metaphors are as important as paint is for an artist.

When doing a presentation you can add creativity by using metaphors. For example; If I was talking about lead chips and pica behavior in young children I could say “lead chips are potato chips in the hands of young children with pica.”

Now let’s take this a little further. In the example of the potato chips you could actually take a bag of chips and open it in front of the audience and pour them into a bowl. You could joke and say it is hard to eat only one chip. You can further show the tiny chips in the bag and point to the relative size of small potato chips and the small size of lead chips that can poison our children. Wow! Can you see this working for you?

Take a few moments to think about how this can apply to your prevention topic.

Liberty League International -- Read This Before Joining
Liberty League International (LLI) is well known over the internet. It has been around for a while, which is normally good. However, with LLI there are too many reasons that one should not join.I have researched the internet for over a year, evaluating opportunities. I took a long hard look at Liberty League and decided that LLI was not right for me. I used an extensive process, which I recommend you use to determine whether or not a home based business o

Bodyguard Jobs and Bodyguard Job Training
Before you make a life changing job decision such as throwing in your old job, and possibly relocating for a bodyguard job, it is important that you know what the work entails, and what you can expect with a job in the industry.Working ConditionsFor many people, the main reason for taking up bodyguard employment is because they are almost always guaranteed action in their work, and possibly an element of danger also. However with the bodyguard trai

Fact or Fiction - Here's How to Get Talk Radio Hosts Talking to You about Your Book
Many successful authors and publishers know that talk radio is the perfect venue for promoting almost any non-fiction book. Most authors of how-to books, financial advice books, self-help books, travel books, medical books—even history books— are welcome guests on talk radio because the hosts like to present their listeners with useful and topical information from an expert. So where does that leave fiction authors? Facing an uphill battle! To put in bl

Knowledge Management in Healthcare: Succeeding in Spite of Technology
Technology and healthcare always have had an uneasy relationship. On one hand, there is the promise of technology and the enhancements it offers healthcare. These include improved medical information access, streamlined reporting, automation, reduced errors and more efficient processes. On the other hand, technology has fallen short of its full potential in healthcare, as too many competing systems make integrated data difficult to obtain. Additionally, the burd

The main difference here is the use of the term “like a”. If I say in my presentation “Our children are often treated like a canary in a mine. Canaries were often placed in coal mines to ascertain if their were poisonous gases. Once the canary died then everyone was certain that gas was in the cave.

So often our children are like the canaries. They must get poisoned before we look for the source of the lead in our homes.

Now that is a simile that has been used often. You can use this method of speech to apply to other parts of your presentation. It will just take some thinking beyond the facts of your presentation to the creative uses of the language.

Or you may be doing another prevention topic like FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders). Some presenters use a common technique of cracking an egg and cooking it in alcohol during the time of their presentation. You could use the egg as a simile to a child’s brain. “A child’s brain is like this egg.

YOU CAN USE METAPHORS AND SIMILES TO CONNECT TO A PROP

In the case of the potato chip your prop is a bag of chips and a bowl. In the case of the canary you could have a plastic or rubber bird. So much will also d
