I am a trucker's wife. But I'm also a trucker. As such, I am in a unique position to know what it's like to be married to a truck driver AND what it's like to BE a truck driver.

A trucker's wife may want to be a help to her husband when he's on the road and also be a blessing to him when he is home. We used to come home for a day and a half every weekend. The list of things to do was long and we spent our entire home time working on chores. Consequently, we never got time to relax and just enjoy our home time. The problem is that the kind of tired that comes from trucking is cumulative. It's hard to see things from the trucker's point of view, but a trucker's wife who wants her man to look forward to coming home will try to do it.
