    How to Manage Attrition Levels
One of the biggest costs for most employers in today’s market place is recruitment of quality staff. In order to reduce this cost every organisation should have in place ‘staff retention action plans’. To achieve this detailed trend analysis will be required specifically looking at:• The time line – at what point in a career do people want to move on• What is the leavers profile – age range – position – lifestyle - ambitions• Exit interviews – detailed questioning of the employees reasons for leaving (not by a line manager)• Is there a particular time of year when attrition levels are high• What is the skills base

5 Golden Online/Offline Business Rules To LIVE Or DIE By
Whether online or off, if you plan on running or maintaining any type of credibility within your business, there are some guidelines that are safe to say any existing or potential customer expects if they are to do immediate or future business with you.As an online entrepreneur for over 3 years I have found that even though I don’t have the pleasure of meeting face-to-face with my customers, ones perception of you and your business can be viewed as good or bad all depending on the way you handle questions or comments posted by people interested in your product. Here is a list of 5 MUST DO’S that any one customer will come to expect i
The store sign blares, “Divorce Today…$199,” another trumpets, “Rolex Watches – Cheap,” and the next one shouts, “4 tires, $120.” Discounting is everywhere, advertising a common message – low price and cheap service.

Discounters wreak havoc on the rest of us who charge for a premium service. With so many businesses advertising low price, it makes customers ultra price sensitive. In your case, the customer is a real estate agent, and more of them are becoming price sensitive to fees charged by you.

    What’s Your Fee?

Economic Development Marketing Tricks to Watch Out For
Anyone who knows about Economic Development Associations realizes that they are forever trying to put a good spin on things. For instance if their city is the number one city for car thieves, they will find some other statistic to plug. Such as our city suburbs have the lowest murder rate of any city in the state. In fact sometimes it is what they don't tell you which is actually very telling. One interesting trick that suburban areas use is that they will take all the business licenses in the city many of which are home based business licenses and read the names and tell people the percentages of International Businesses in the area. Let's Form A Committee
"Let's form a committee!" When you hear these words during a public meeting, a warning light should start flashing, for more often than not Parkinson's law may be coming into play. One of the many precepts from this law states that work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion. It was first articulated by C. Northcote Parkinson, a British scholar, in the book "Parkinson's Law: The Pursuit of Progress," (London, John Murray, 1958). Based on extensive experience in the British Civil Service system, his scientific observations noted, among other things, that as the British empire declined, the number of employees at the colonial off

    Are Your Meetings Smart?
Soon after I finished a brief seminar on how to accomplish more in less time every day, Roger shook my hand and said, “I can use what you said. But there is one thing you didn’t talk about. It is something that drives me crazy. I can’t get anything done because I’m in meetings all day long. We have gone overboard on meetings. We discuss practically everything as a team before making decisions.” I asked Roger for his card and I called him later that afternoon with some ideas that could help get him and his team out of their meetings trap.Don’t let meetings keep you from getting your work accomplished. It’s not uncommon for meetings to clai
nt and one on the back.” The Agent appearing stunned says, “That seems unfair, why are you charging so much?” The perturbed loan officer utters, “That’s what I’ve always charged.” The agent leaves, never to return again.

Hopefully this has never happened to you. Instead, you should expect the opposite when you understand how to get agents to support your fees. Rather than agents questioning how much you charge, they’re explaining to the client why your service commands a premium.

Marketing is your opportunity to shape their perception of your service, before appealing to them about a relationship. It should educate an Agent, ahead of you meeting them, about the quality of your service, which is in direct proportion to the size of your fees.
