    No Accidental Business
Sociologists put 100 people in a room for fifteen minutes. They secretly instructed two of those people to say only negative things, and the other 98 to say only positive things. Guess how long it took the two negative people to find each other and talk? Fifteen minutes! Like attracts like.ping to sell something?

There is a place for forms as a means of contact. These forms are definitely very efficient for the business. However, simple email links that offer a prospect the opportunity to express his or her views or concerns directly to the owner or a member of senior management needs to be prominently displayed as well.

Reverse Auction Success Hinges on Pre-Qualfying Vendors
The first reason is that if you try to do a post-reverse auction qualification, to the bidders, that gives them the impression that price really doesn’t matter. So why should they bid lower in the reverse auction if they believe their quality alone will win them the business? Well, the Buyer's jo
Businesses spend fortunes, large and small to develop websites and then they proceed to hide behind them. Whose dumb idea is that? I don't understand it and neither do millions of consumers. I've been selling, sales managing and training salespeople for over 35 years.

In my opinion one of the key elements of any sale is 'trust'. With many websites I find that trust is seriously lacking. Sure they have heaps of testimonials but in so many cases a visitor to the site will have no idea of who actually owns the business and who they can contact if they require more specific information or if something goes wrong.

You often need to be a detective to find contact information on many sites. If you do succeed, often you will find that you can't send a simple email to someone who is actually in charge. Instead you need to fill out some complicated, time consuming online form that will be sent to some obscure nameless individual. Where is the trust building in that process?

It seems to me that businesses that wished to sell consumers something should be looking for ways of removing obstacles to doing business rather than building walls. Isn't the process of building walls meant to keep people out. To me it indicates paranoia, distrust or even disinterest. What is that about? Is that a wise decision when you are wanting and hoping to sell something?

    New Business Opportunities
Tired of the daily 8-5 grind, working for someone else, who really doesn’t care either way what you think, only that you’re there when you’re supposed to be? If you are, then you are certainly the entrepreneurial type and you should seriously consider starting your own business. There are many ne

It's More Than Bread And Milk
If you want to write copy that makes your prospects sit up and take notice, look no further than the headlines on the magazines in the supermarket checkout rack. Odd as it may seem, there are some real similarities to the cashier’s lane and your business. The headline writers, like you, have limi

There was a time when business owners used to take pride in what they did and they demonstrated that they valued their customers' business. Today many hide behind their websites and send out the not so subtle message that they don't care to hear directly form their clients.

For those of you who stand up front and center with contact information pointing to you and those who control your organization, I applaud you. However, For those who hide, I will suggest that you do not deserve the consumer's trust or hard earned money because you do not establish trust as a cornerstone of your business. As a business owner or manager you get to choose.
