Indeed it does make a lot of sense to have fuel stops and outpost resting points for such exploratory endeavors.

Recently this comment came up in an online think tank. And a fellow thinker stated; “Perhaps once we create a base colony on mars, we can work our way to the end of our solar system by hopping from moon base to moon base. Supposedly the Bush administration has set a goal to get to Mars by 2030”

Simply not trying hard enough or pushing the envelope, it is a weak goal and one, which is not keeping with best of breed or our strength as a nation. I cannot support dismal goals or half-ass efforts. Although a supporter of the concept and the Administration, I cannot be impressed with piss poor performance or weakness. It is not an American Trait and certainly not the America I have come to love and respect. Let’s take some risks and let’s up the ante. We can do anything, but low expectations make humans weak, I hate weakness, any weakness. We should be celebrating strength of the species not succumbing to weakness.
