It’s not hard for a male to remember that he is a male. From the moment that he wakes in the morning, to the time he sleeps in bed, most often males think about women and he only needs to walk down any city street to see many wonderfully dressed and half dressed women.

They say that nothing is impossible when you believe, but I have to tell you one thing that is near impossible to do is maintain a friendship as a male with a female that wants to convince you to marry her.

In the past year there has been two women that got past my defense that says as a Christian I cannot re- marry when my first wife is still living, a theology I hold on what Jesus and Paul had to say that I discuss in my article, A Divorced Christian's Biblical View on Divorce and Remarriage. Two women with enough time and MSN chat somehow got through my theology and had me talking marriage with them.

This I have to confess was not being true to what I believe but both were very sweet women and I was quite taken with them, and yet today on Valentines day in the USA they both seemed to find the courage to write emails to me saying no longer wanted me to be in contact with them. One had some swear words in it, and one painted a truthful picture of me, but also was written from a position of hurt also.

As Christian I thought I was going well breaking a sex addiction and getting self pleasure under control and lustful thoughts, at least I could be celibate and therefore I could contemplate a priestly role of having no partner and not being overcome with sexual frustration.

Then in the midst of it along come a couple of women who try and talk me into marriage and hound me until I am trying to undo my belief in second marriage and once gain lust seems to creep in and I am lost in a sea where my thoughts of purity and a single life are going out the door.

What if find interesting and very surprising is that both women were already in a current marriage so not only our MSN talks against my theology and personal desire for my life to serve God as a single man but the sexual talk that it lowered itself to was a form of adultery and here I was King David with my own Bathsheba. We all like to say how bad King David was and here I was guilty twice in a year.

It makes me wonder how many unhappy women in marriages are already flirting with single men or with men who are also in unhappy marriages. As a Christian I have had to repent for my behaviour and I have to make a special apology to both these women in an email, but it fills me with trepidation for my future.

I have not found one person that I have shared the divorce and re- marriage rules I believe in that I feel the Holy Spirit taught me and a preacher conformed 18 months later that agreed with me and out of four women that have tried to make advances on me four out of four tried to convince me that I am wrong.

This is not a personal attack on women. I was just as guilty and willing partner in this unrealised fantasy that went on, yet I am both upset and ashamed that I was party to it.
