As to the nature of the change, it consists in the implanting of a new principle or disposition in the soul; the impartation of spiritual life to those who are by nature “dead in trespasses and sins.” The necessity of such a change is emphatically affirmed in Scripture (John.3:3; Rom.7:18; Rom.8:7-9; 1Co.2:14; Eph.2:1; Eph.4:21-24).
“And some to shame and everlasting contempt", These are the ones that have rejected everything that you have just read. Mankind has gotten to the point, its me and no one else, my needs first, fulfilling the lust of my body, my prominence, my prestige.
The difference between Christianity and the un-believers is simple. A Christian must and will, put the needs of others first, including the Will of God, The Truth of the Bible and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

The Un-believer does not have The Trinity to lead nor guide him. He makes decisions based on his lust for power and lust for Gain. So who will be lost, who will be damed to everlasting fire?
