Sales Trainer, Mentor, Leader, And Counselor Shares Our Belief System - Are We Doomed?
Part 2 of 'Your Abundant Life'Even with the amount of absolute passion that I have to help people, it's a fact that a lot of people simply don't know how to believe in themselves, or how to let go of their past. That’s my biggest obstacle when dealing with others. That’s the topic for this conversation. Why don’t people believe in themselves? Ask yourself the same question right now. “Why don’t I believe in myself?” Most people will get immediately defensive and say 'I do believe in myself', 'I just haven’t got my break yet, or found my niche', and a whole bunch of other excuses. So if you do believe in yourself, what’s really holding you back? Go ahead; ask yourself. I think I know part of the answer. Here’s a bit of a clue. There are so many negative and deceitful things out there, (especially on the Internet), that when something real does come along, we have a difficult time believing it. We also have a hard time believing that something really good and positive can happen to ourselves. We think and we know we deserve it, but luck just hasn't been on our side. But we continue to do things like play the lottery, even though we have a better chance at getting hit by an airplane coming out of the sky. Why do we do this? Simple, because we have no confidence in ourselves, or what we are capable of accomplishing. We are clueless for the most part. Let’s look at our lives for a moment. I think this may provide some insight into the basics of attitude. You were taught this way by your peers, and the following is what you have to show for it.I know that right now you either dislike your job, or you don't have one, or you don't have enough of one. Maybe you like your job somewhat but dislike the pay, but you have been doing the same thing year after year, you work to many hours with too little in return, and that doesn't even include the commute time, and the endless hours stuck in traffic. How exhausted are you on a daily basis? How about having to get up day after day?The routine of every day life simply sucks. Sure, you have some good times, but for the most part, drudgery at its finest. Ask yourself another one here for me. How many times have you looked in the mirror and said to yourself, ”What am I doing here?” Shall I continue? Sure, let’s rub it in a bit.You dislike your lifestyle because you don't really have time to have a life. You probably don't have enough time for your partner, let alone yourself, your kids, a

Now we are killing babies, the disabled, and the sick old. We are already subject to it, and it has happened “without anybody seeming to notice anything strange” (Percy, 282) about it.

Referrals - How to Get Them
Referrals are an extension of Networking. If people like you and like the sound of your product or service, then there's a good chance they'll tell other people about you.If they already use your product or service and are totally satisfied, then there's also a good chance that they'll recommend you to others. However, that won't always happen - people won't necessarily go around singing your praises to other people, unless someone asks them about you.You can, however, take various actions to improve your chances of getting referrals:*Ask people - Ask your existing customers if there's anyone else they know who could use your product or service.*Ask if it's okay to contact them - and if it's okay to use their name*Ask them - if they'd be kind enough to refer you to the other person*Ask if it's okay to check back - and find out what the other person said. (This encourages the person you're speaking to - to refer you)*Offer incentives - Offer free product, a discount or a prize to an existing customer who refers you to a new customer. e.g. If I bring a new member to my health club, my name is entered into a draw for a new car*Offer a "finders fee" - to anyone who finds you new business or donate money to their charities*Have a referral form - This needs to be a simple document that you hand out to customers or give away at events or even post to people. It needs to say something like - "Who do you know who could use our product or service?" Then leave some blanks on the form for the details. Mention what the incentive or reward is for them to do this.*Ask for letters of recommendation - Always ask existing customers for some comments you can use on sales letters, your web site or brochure.*Listen for referrals - Keep your ears open for referrals. Often a customer will make a throwaway remark - "My brother- in- law suffers from the same problems in his business as I do." You then, ask politely about the brother-in-law's business and if it would be okay to contact him. (This seems so simple but many people don't pick up these remarks or do anything about them.)*Thank people for referrals - When new customers contact you, ask them how they heard about you. (You should always do this so that you can evaluate your advertising or promotional activity) If they tell you that they've been referred by someone else - send a thank you note to the
Man kills. And he seems to be good at making it seem sensible. It is uncomfortable to feel that it is part of our nature, but we have been killing for as long as we have drawn breath. From fist to club to arrow to gun to bomb to surgeon’s knife, man has become an accomplished killer. If you believe that we are accidents of biology, then your explanation may be that it is a residual but natural product of our evolution from a reptilian brain to a languaged one. If you believe also that there is a corresponding spiritual evolution that is part of a religious philosophy or tradition that makes you answerable to a God, then you must believe that murder is ultimately consequential. Some believe that the escalation is a condition, a circumstance, of being in a Fallen world. We do not know, but none of it makes sense. I do not understand how it can be sensible for us to ask doctors to kill. Has Hippocrates been dismissed? Do they no longer have to pledge “to do no harm?” It makes no sense that an Eric Rudolph would think that it is okay to kill to stop killing. He said that he was willing to die to stop abortion, but after he was caught, he chose to plead guilty to murder to avoid the death penalty.

We live “in a time of great good and evil,” said Walker Percy, “which nobody understands, where there are many kinds of discourse each of which makes a kind of sense to its own community, but where the communities don’t make sense to each other…. “ (Signposts in a Strange Land, 159). Sense-making is one of those things that I, a worrier and neither philosopher nor writer, tend to notice. Who decided that it was sensible for us to kill disabled babies? When did we decide that it makes sense for us to do what Hitler decreed was the sensible thing for Germany to do in 1939? Some think that it is sensible to have doctors just go ahead and kill them, but I did not notice that we were even doing that, and now in ever greater numbers. And who decided that it was sensible to let the Terry Shiavos of the world starve to death while doctors and her parents are forced to stand by and just watch? There is a disturbing precedent for this sentimental, murderous phenomenon, but it makes no sense that we could possibly be compared to them. The Nazis also killed the disabled children, mentally ill people, and the old and sick (Laurence Rees, Auschwitz:A New History, 42). They were what we have become, sentimental, and sentimentalism and murder certainly reflect what Percy referred to as “signs of the general derangement of the times” (159). 7-Step Chiropractic Office Billing Precision Software For Result-Driven Patient Care Plan
"Integrated patient relationship management and billing technologies have uniquely addressed horrendous complexities of financial care plan management and became indispensable in building large volume practices," says Dr. Brian Capra, a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic and Director at Advanced Chiropractic in New Jersey.Financial care plan helps the patient to afford the care while establishing a guaranteed cash flow to the provider. The concept of financial care plan is based on a relative cost difference for the same service during the plan period and outside of it. The patient guarantees lower fee for each service encounter by committing to higher number of service encounters.Financial care plan plays an important role in patient relationship management as it improves the perception of service cost-benefit, because without the plan, the cost for the same service would be higher. Therefore, it is important to track the plan for each patient and, upon reaching the end of the plan, immediately charge the regular (higher) fee.But tracking multiple patient care plans becomes difficult upon reaching large numbers of patient visits, impeding the continued development of the clinic. Worse, the complexity of individual plan management is exacerbated by varying sources of payments required for different kinds of visits. For instance, the fee for care during a specific period of time is paid either by the insurance company or by the patient. Finally, the number of visits in each plan is variable too, depending on patient health condition and specific plan. For example, the number of visits during the care plan period is indefinite but the number of recommended adjustments is typically finite. Therefore, chiropractic office billing technology must be able to handle both kinds of complexities. First, it must be able to handle multiple care plans. Second, it must be able to allocate different charges separately to care plan while managing the combined payment status for the same visit. Care Plan Definition A powerful care plan management system maintains three kinds of edits, namely, addition of a service encounter without adding charge, addition of plan payment without adding a service encounter, and addition of both a service and a payment. Also, if the current plan is pre-paid in full at the beginning of the plan, the service charges during the care period must be discounted.A care plan is defined by

    Loans in the Military
For many members of the military, financial expenses can create a problem. Although those higher up in the military often make decent salaries, when soldiers are first starting their military careers, they can be strapped for money, particularly if they have a family at home they need to support. This is why military payday loans can come in handy for military personnel. Military payday loans can be acquired by anyone in the military, even those with a bad credit history. However, keep in mind that payday loans are meant to be paid back within a short period of time. The idea of a payday cash advance is that you receive a payday advance prior to receiving your pay check. Once you have received your next pay check you are expected to pay back your loan. There are certain qualifications military personnel must meet to be eligible for a military payday loan. Most loan companies require those applying for a military payday loan to either be in active duty or to be retired but to have previously served for at least a twenty year period. Military employees of all ranks can apply for military payday loans as long as they reach those requirements and have their valid military identification with them. This is to prevent non-military personnel from illegally posing as a member of the military and receiving a military payday loan. It is important that loan companies can properly identify you and have proof of your military duty. Companies that offer military payday loans can be relatively easy to find. For those soldiers who are serving overseas and not in a position to physically visit a loan company and talk to a representative about a payday advance, many companies offer online applications where those who wish to receive a payday loan can apply quickly and easily.Military payday loans can be taken in large quantities or small quantities, depending on the amount of money the customer needs. However, the amount of your payday loan is completely dependent on your income because that is what will determine whether or not you will be able to pay back your loan and in what amount of time. Since military payday loans are meant to be paid back within a short amount of time, it is important to companies that they do not lend an employee more money than the person will be able to pay by their next payday. When members of the military need cash quick for unexpected expenses, military payday loans are definitely the way to go. Soldiers can fi

Why Free Web Hosting May not be a Bad Thing
There is paid web hosting and there is free web hosting. Most people tend to steer clear of free web hosting as they tend to believe that “there is no free lunch”. Free web hosting must have its catches?Well, that really depends on your purposes and your position. Why purpose? If your web hosting is for your website which is for commercial purposes, such as an ecommerce web-store, you need absolute reliability and uptime. Every second of downtime is lost revenue. While some free web hosting providers guarantee uptime, you cannot hold it against them if their services do not meet expectations and cause your business to lose hundreds of dollars of revenue. Why? Because most free web hosts will have a clause in their terms that state that they do not guarantee uptime at all because they are a free service. Now, most free hosts will not even guarantee any uptime and those free web hosting services are provided on a best effort basis. You cannot risk hosting your crucial business website on such a free hosting plan. However, for most individuals who are experimenting with building websites, free web hosting is the ideal choice as there is no monetary commitment and no lost for both parties. Everyone deserves a chance to learn and what better way to learn than to do it? Free web hosting plans from free hosts are the ideal platform for aspiring webmasters to start their web-building careers. Of course these free hosts may require something in return: visiting sponsors, displaying ads on hosted pages, reading emails, and lately, participating in online communities of the free web-host. This last option may not be a bad thing as online communities allow the users to interact and learn from each other. There is also a last category of users who just want free web hosting for a personal site which they do not find the need to be up all the time and do not see the need to pay for it and do not see the need to do anything for it. There are some free web hosts out there who offer free hosting for nothing – just a simple sign up. Therefore, a clear purpose for using free web hosting is important. If the purpose is critical and there is no tolerance for problems, then free webhosting is not suitable. Other than that, free web hosting is not a bad thing. Why position?Web hosting plans are relatively affordable these days (some plans as low as $1 a

    Consolidation of Satellite Internet Industry
The winds of change are blowing in the vsat satellite internet industry...again! During the next six to twelve months I expect to see a good number of buyouts of companies who are not able to keep up with the rapid changes in technology and the costs associated with staying in the race for satellite internet customers. The area of greatest consolidation should come to the Small Business to Enterprise sector, where providers are repeatedly failing to meet customer expectations of value for cost.At the present time, most of the traditional resellers to small business, government and commercial accounts are in deep financial trouble or at best breaking even ......which should come as no surprise considering nearly all satellite owners are losing money. Why? Space segment is very expensive... and I really mean it! Only a very small group of enterprise level companies and government entities are able to afford the true high speed offerings. The companies willing to pay $1,500 or more per month for a high end service package will be happy with their performance, but precious few can afford to pay that for broadband. There isn't enough demand relative to the competition for commercial vsat broadband outside this group, so all types of pricing games are being offered right now to entice companies to buy equipment and service either as a replacement for dial up (believe it or not, some companies still use dial up!) or as a emergency backup. Some of these offers are flat out "bait and switch" schemes and the companies offering them are destroying the reputation of the industry. Fortunately, they are the companies I predict will fall by the wayside later this year. Buyer beware!Internet providers keep clinging to the notion that if they "water down" the platform with subscribers somehow they can sell satellite internet service for a price that is palatable. The "watering down" is referred to as contention ratio in the industry. The balancing act has historically been a roller coaster customer service ride, in which things start out fine for customers.......provider adds too many new customers so performance goes down hill........customers start screaming about bad service.......provider adds a new transponder.....everyone is happy again and it starts all over. It's a joke of a business model, but unfortunately, the only way people will buy in mass is if service plans are priced between $50-$200 and the only way a provider has a chance to make any mo

Tony Blair, after the bombings in July in London, said, “there is no justification” for killing civilians. It doesn’t seem justifiable for Islamists to fly planes into the World Trade Center or blow up civilian busses and trains. It doesn’t make sense that we would use our young men and women to rid Iraq of a tyrant but ignore the tyranny in drought-stricken Africa. It makes sense to some because there is oil in Iraq but just starving children in Africa. Does it make sense that the insurgents who are fighting the new Iraqi regime would employ such tactics as the one reported on by Lt. Colonel Robert Kelley on an MSNBC Hardball special (27 July 2005) called “Boots on the Ground?” He told of a jihadist who threw a stuffed bear full of liquid explosives into the yard of an Iraqi police recruit knowing that his young daughter would go for it. She was burned over sixty per cent of her body. The jihadist believes he is fighting a “holy war,” but how could anyone think they are justified in targeting a child playing in her yard? And this perpetrator may even have small children of his own. Volunteers in the fledgling democracy have to risk their own children to be free? Is that sensible? Who would not capitulate to the threat that their own children may be killed over a democratic ideal? Is that courageous or foolish?

Some think it is sensible to kill to preserve a predetermined quality of life, to preserve an abstract at the expense of actual life. Some agree that America’s youth should be sent to the Middle East to kill and to spill blood for that ideal. Meanwhile, Americans back home spill only beer at tailgate parties and football games while patting themselves on the back for their role as the world’s policeman. I cannot make sense of it. I am surely not competent to decide what “we” should do or not do. But someone did decide for us that we should kill disabled babies? Who? A trusted Andy in a doctor’s uniform? A lawyer for the insurance industry? A sentimental politician? The painful truth is that we are all a bunch of Barneys who don’t know enough about ourselves to decide what is right for someone else, but we capitulate to whatever or whomever makes sense at the time. The German people were subject to a madman’s decree. To whom or what have we been subjected? To whom or what do we point?

I certainly do not know what is right for someone in a drama
