Why Blogs are More Popular than Websites Now?
Having a website back in the toddler days of Internet was cool. If you are a company and you had a website URL on your business card, that would win you brownie points….tons of brownie points, actually. Websites, those days, wasn’t even impressive, really. I mean, they were static and plain. Some of them had designs and colors that gave you a horrible eyesore too. Sad to say, I’ve seen many of such websites belonging to small to medium sized corporations. However, as we move forward a couple of years later, in came flash. Having a flash website was really flashy and it impressed the socks off of people. That is, people who were willing to wait for the flash on the website to load. Back in those pre-broadband days, that’s quite a lot of waiting to do. You could go to the kitchen, get that spaghetti cooked, come back to the PC and the flash would STILL be loading. I kid you not.But NOW, there’s business blog. Aaahhh….didn’t you ever notice that with blogs, we’re going back to the basics? We’re going back to being simple, nice, neat websites that are packed with information. And most importantly, a blog allows communication, feedback and interactivity. Actually, the blog is the best thing to happen to the Internet of recent years…simply because it brings us back to the very basics of Internet marketing. The focus is back to words and information.A website needs to be simple, contains important information that the readers want to read, contain relevant links to relevant people or companies…you know,

    Looking Into Cheap Web Hosting
You can pay less than five dollars a month for web hosting service with many hosts, which is impressive. You may be somewhat limited in what you can do or what you can expect from the host, but generally you’ll receive good service. One should expect to receive 5-75 GB of disk space, which is more than adequate for most people, and you might find that you can get as much as 100-600 GB of bandwidth per month, which also is not bad for such a great price. These cheap websites are often on Windows or UNIX servers, which is also ideal for most web hosting needs. While all of these things are great, you might feel limited because you might not be offered the ability to host sub domains with these cheap web hosting services. Cheap web hosting services usually have limited parking and reselling features, if you have any at all. You may not be given any or very limited POP3 email accounts, which can be a deterrent for many. While these things are not necessary for some, they can be the difference between the cheap web hosting opportunities and the ones that are more moderately priced.Cheap web hosting is more than enough for a great deal of people, but some people simply need more. Most of the companies that offer cheap plans will offer you the ability to add on certain functions to your account so that you can customize your hosting plan to meet your needs. This can be good and bad because you get what you need, but then you really need to consider how cheap the program is. Often when you add o

Ebay Misspelled Listings Can Make You Money
Did you know that peoples’ typing errors could make you money or secure you a bargain?Every day on eBay many thousands of auctions end without a single bid, and it wasn’t because no one wanted what was for sale, but because the seller had made a spelling or typing error in the auction title. How could this make you money?Let’s say someone was selling a games consol, for example, a Sony Playstation with a starting bid of ?9.99, but they made a typographical error and misspelled it “Plyastation”. Let’s also assume that they sell for around ?70.00, which is the amount the seller was expecting to get. But instead of getting 15 or 20 bids, he only got one – yours. Here comes the part where you make money. You can now put an auction on eBay for the same Playstation, spelled correctly, and make the money the first seller should have got.But wait. Here’s a good twist. You don’t even need to see or handle the goods you have just bought. You could tell the seller that you’re buying it for a friend and will forward the address to send it to in a few days time. During that time you put the consol back up for sale on eBay and set the auction to run for no more than three days. When the auction ends, you forward the new buyers address to the original seller, who posts it on for you. Drop shipping! You didn’t have to worry about repackaging the item or posting the item. But what if you want to keep things for yourself? Then if you like to shop for bargains on eBay, try looking for misspe

Company Up and Running Just 2 Hours After Major Fire
You might think that something as major as a building fire could put a serious dent in the productivity of any office, to put it mildly. Destruction of property equipment, furniture and files are almost certain. How much in terms of assets would be lost and for how long? What about the company’s mission critical data? Could it ever be replaced? Computers (especially the magnetic disks contained within a modern hard disk drive) are very sensitive to heat and critical data is likely to be irretrievable from a machine that has been melted by the high temperatures of a building fire.So just how can a headline like the one in this article be plausible? How can a company suffer something as destructive as a major fire and yet be up and running just two short hours after the flames have settled and indeed, when the office is still smoldering and very much non-conducive to work (to say the least)?Property, furniture and equipment can be easily replaced (that’s what insurance is for). Temporary desks and chairs can be leased or rented quickly and easily. New telephone equipment and computer hardware can be purchased. But how do you replace your company’s mission critical data? The answer is simple: Online Data Backup.By using an online secure backup solution and storing important, mission critical data files in a secure offsite facility, your company can avert disaster and be up and running even before the fire has been put out. Here’s how: When you set up an account with an online

Excel: Creating Dynamic Graphs and Charts
I am going to throw this out there right now, I do not have a college education and I graduated from a small town high school. When I made a decision to take a corporate position, I really thought my options were limited to how high I could go on the corporate ladder. Never would I have thought a small, green icon on my desktop could have proved me so wrong. In order to improve my position, I taught myself programs other individuals in my field didn't even want to look at and I increased my skill set in the programs that our upper management needed. Most importantly, Excel. I learned to create dynamic charts and discovered ways to tell the financial stories everyone needed to see. Not only were my graphs unique, I also added my own personal flair to them. Anyone looking at a chart would immediately know it was create by Suzanne. Not only that, once they saw it they felt confident that the information was correct. The graphs in question were wonderfully colored, simply told, and were completely ME! In two months time, I doubled my salary, I was given a promotion, and my sole purpose in life was to create metrics for our executive staff and to present them to our customers. As simple as it sounds, becoming an expert in a specific program that is NEEDED at your place of business can set you apart not only where you are right now, but it can also increase your value to where you want to go. For me, it was Excel and its graphs. I didn't stay with the default charts and co

Depending upon the insanity level of the pit-bull, as he tries futilely to subdue the bobcat, the bloody contest between the two will ensue until both animals chew each other’s rears into pulp. That’s exactly what’s happening as the Bush administration gets the U.S. further and further into jeopardy with the Muslim world. Perhaps the pit-bull would fare much worse than the bobcat, since he’s too stupid, or perhaps too crazy, to back off and cease the useless aggression. But the bobcat will continue to react defensively and
