Cedar City is situated almost 6000 feet above sea level, and because of its elevation, experiences around 310 clear days a year. Summer temperatures average in the mid 80s while during the winter months, snowfall is periodic and usually melts away within a day or two. Up on the mountains above Cedar City there is plenty of snow for the avid skier or snowboarder.

Within easy reach of Cedar City is some of Utah’s most dramatic and unspoiled scenery as well as numerous opportunities for hiking, skiing, sailing and golf. The town makes an excellent gateway for visiting Bryce Canyon, Grand Staircase and Zion National Parks, as well as the less visited but spectacular north rim of the Grand Canyon.
