I have noticed over the few years I have been in real estate that many, mostly unsuccessful (read as new) agents, fail to attend any office meetings or training. Do successful Realtors regularly attend office meetings or in-house training classes?

Notice I said never attends, never makes sales and has problems writing a contract. Perhaps they should have a new designation R.r (Realtor-recreational). behind their name. {Do not blast me as this does not refer to those who do not fit this description.}

My guess is that if you are sharp enough to be an Active Rainer I doubt very seriously you are approaching your career in a recreational mode!

I know from experience the amount of time a person spends in the office does not translate into the degree of success. In fact, I know that in order to market yourself you must be out and about being seen and heard. I am not advocating one become an office fixture. After all, in real estate only you can determine your level of success (or failure). However, I do believe that early on in your real estate career you need to be more visible, taking every opportunity to learn from those who have succeeded.

I should not complain though because the recreational folks allow the rest to get more business!
