New sellers with low feedback appear on ebay every week. Most of them sell Disney cross stitch charts. We all love Winnie the Pooh, Mickey and other Disney characters but buyers should be alert and do not buy any of it if they think it is illegal. I know it is very tempting to buy and save some money but you encourage these sellers to continue doing what they are doing, making money from other people's work.

Some people think that selling computer generated charts is easy money and will steal any beautiful copyrighted picture to achieve their goal! They don't ask the artist's permission to use their work, they don't mention the artist's name in the listing and they practically don't care.

Legitimate sellers will state in their listings the name of the artist of which the picture is coming from. Of course there are many images in the public domain and anyone may use them for commercial or personal use. These images are usually fine art pictures from famous painters that copyright has expired. If anyone would like to check expired copyrights, Wikepidia, a free content encyclopedia on the internet, is good place to start.
