Been Finding It Hard To Get Work My Story So Far
Well its now 29/03/07 and still waiting for my first contract in the CP industry, IV been doing odd jobs here & there working with several companies doing door & VIP security.Sometimes things take that little bit longer than expected, although I have been approached about covering the VIP area of the reading rock festival in august, which is a good sign. This is a prime example of the quiet before the storm, and as such will keep on truck-in along as the summer 2007 is not yet here.Should start to get some calls around April /May time, that's when the panic sets in with companies trying to do too much with not enough staff, surprise, surprise? If you think the going is tough then remember the saying, the tough get going, don't give up.That’s exactly why I won’t be giving up; it’s still the early part of 2007 and there’s shed loads of work to be had, all we have to do is stick to it.I have been networking to the best of my ability; I suppose I could do better but still trying hard.Have been approached to head the security at a very high class bar at the Cumberland hotel in London which is due to open on the 16th of April, things are looki

Hold Your Nose and Look into Opportunities Others Avoid to Make 20 Times Faster Improvements
FIRST IMPRESSIONS CAN KEEP YOU FROM OPPORTUNITIESMost people can identify situations in which they dismissed an opportunity that someone else capitalized on later. Often these opportunities were overlooked or rejected because they were perceived as dull, boring, or unpleasant. You may recall the fairy tale of "The Ugly Duckling." It is the story of a cast-off baby bird that is mistreated because it is unattractive to the young ducklings raised with it. Much to everyone's surprise the ugly duckling develops into a beautiful swan. Thus, what we call the unattractiveness stall prevents people from seeing potential because they make judgments based on insufficient knowledge. As you contemplate this point, it is worth remembering that if Alexander Fleming had been unwilling to work with the unpleasant green mold that affects stale bread, the world might not yet have the wonder drug penicillin and its heirs.DON'T TAKE MY PICTURE, I'll Break the CameraThe Taj MahalAll too frequently, management becomes engrossed in creating posh office space. Having feathered their nests, executives avoid the ugly duckling sites that need attention. In many companies,
    6. Make Lots of Money Taking Surveys

You probably get one of these in your email a week. Sign up for free or for a few of them a fee, and you will soon earn a steady income just filling out surveys. It is true that people used to make money doing this. Not enough to quit there jobs and pay there bills but $30-$100 or more a month. With the influx of people surfing the internet trying to get a buck anywhere they can, this is no longer the case. If it were that easy to make money everyone would quit there jobs and do it and companies wouldn’t be making much money. The sites are stil

Small Annoyances Can Make a Big Impact on a Business's Bottom Line
Sales clerks who stand behind the counter gabbing to friends and ignoring the customer in front of them; product return personnel who refuse to honor their store's return policy; bank employees who get surly and defensive when questioned about possible errors on a depositor's bank statement. These slights and others can cost a business thousands in lost revenues and even the loss of their reputation in the community. Customers who have been treated rudely or who see themselves as having been cheated or ripped off in some way are likely to vote with their feet, walking out of a business and in the door of a similar business down the street that presents itself as more welcoming. Even more serious, customers who see themselves as slighted generally tell other people, which can impact a business's reputation very quickly. Once tarnished, a company's public reputation is very hard to repair.Proper hiring and training of customer service personnel is paramount. Employees who enjoy interacting with customers and who genuinely want to help resolve problems are a valuable asset to a business. Beyond that, company customer return policies and problem resolution procedures must ma

    Corporate Identity Colors
The personality of a company can be identified by the colors used in their logo. Each color gives off its own mood. This mood can either be positive or negative. By understanding the meaning of colors you can give your corporate identity a personality that is stimulating. In design there are three categories in which we place colors they are neutral, warm and cool. Neutral colors are considered non-colors because they are used more as a mixture to create other shades of colors. These neutral colors are known as Black, White, Gray, Beige and Brown. By mixing neutral colors with other colors you can influence the positive and negative mood of your logo. We associate black with power, authority and often signifies assertiveness and formality. Also, remember white is not considered as a color but as an absence of all colors and signifies purity and innocence.Next, we have warm colors. In design we use these colors as attention getters because they stimulate the nervous system. Warm colors include; Red, Orange, Yellow, Yellow/Green and Purple. Haven't you ever ask yourself why red is used for stop signs or yellow for caution? It is because psychologically you understand the i

    The 3 Critical Financial Statements
There are three vital statements for understanding the condition of a business or entity: (1) the Profit and Loss Statement, (2) the Balance Sheet and (3) the Sources and Uses Statement. Each of them provides a different perspective of how an entity is operating. Combined, they show examiners the health of the business. Each statement reflects a different perspective on the business' financial operations. The first statement, the Profit and Loss, can also be called the Income Statement. It documents the amount of money coming into the entity (the income) and the money going out of the entity (the expenses). The difference between what comes in and what goes out is the Net Income, if there is more money coming in than going out. If not, there is a Net Loss. The statement covers a specific period, which is shown in the heading of the statement. Note that it tells us nothing about what has happened for any date that is not included by the statement dates. Think of it as a snapshot for the specific time period. Some common snapshot periods are monthly, quarterly and yearly ones. The second statement, the Balance Sheet, covers the condition of the business from the t

The sites are still there, but now most of them put you in a raffle to earn "cool stuff" not money. Other’s will put you in a raffle to some money. But what are the chances of you winning. And what are the chances of you winning more than once a year? That is not steady income. The ones that do say they will pay you, up up $30 or more for a survey, leave something out. You will sit and wait for that email telling you that you have a survey, but you more than likely will never get one. Or
