Can you help me sue them?" Many lawyers will take the case because it is against the law, in most areas, to use threatening language for debt collecting. In most every city in America there will be a help phone number for people being harassed by a debt collector. If you cannot find it, phone a lawyer, bankruptcy or accountant and one of them should know the number. Phone and ask for help, phone the lawyer and ask for help and keep asking until you get help. If the debt collector is not being a fluffy bunny with you when it comes to treating you with respect then you cannot be a fluffy bunny while receiving their calls.
